Quality

Prizes won include 4 flock competitions, 4 Royal Show championships, 4 Ashford Ram Sale championships and numerous other prizes at local shows.

 

We have a minimum disease closed flock and we strive to keep it that way, only buying in the occasional ram from known sources and only showing rarely. 

 

We have culled hard for foot-rot over the years and 98% of the flock is now free.

We are maedi visna accredited and our sheep are Faecal Egg Count tested and given a FEC index score to help gain more resistance to worms. This has been done for 10 years. In the last years we have started to use salivary IgA as a tool to quantify worm resistance. The benefits are apparent in reduced anthelmintic usage.
